The COSWRIM operational scope in the context of promoting sex workers’ rights movement
nationwide is:
Operational Area
COSWRIM will operate in Nigeria across various administrative divisions, including the six geopolitical zones, all 36 states, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Additionally, it will adapt to any changes in regional boundaries following the federal Constitution of Nigeria.
Headquarters
The headquarters of COSWRIM, along with its registered office for official purposes, will be located in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Nigeria.
State-Level Structures
To effectively carry out its mission, COSWRIM will establish structures at the state level within all Nigerian states, as well as in the FCT. These statelevel structures will play a crucial role in fulfilling the organization’s mandate.
International Engagement
COSWRIM may, when necessary, provide technical assistance and support to other countries worldwide in addressing issues related to sex workers’ rights and reproductive and maternal health.
These operational guidelines ensure that COSWRIM is well-positioned to contribute to the welfare and advocacy of sex workers in Nigeria and potentially extend its support globally as needed.
