Our Vision, Mission and Objective
Our Vision
A world where sex workers of genders have the opportunity to fully realize their rights to health and well-being, ensuring inclusivity and leaving no individual marginalized.
Our Mission
To mobilize, coordinate and amplify the voices of organizations led by sex workers in advocating for the fundamental human rights, health, and well-being.
Our Objective
The overall objective for the coalition is to expand and bring sex worker organizations on board as well as further develop an innovative network structure for peer-to-peer and horizontal learning across communities, with the overall aim to de-politicize the HIV/SRH/GBV programming to reach our collective goal. Specifically, we want to:
- Advocate for increased financial resource allocation, sustained funding and policy changes that prioritize SRHR interventions and establish an enabling environment for the seamless delivery of comprehensive SRHR services to sex workers in Nigeria.
- Establish initiatives dedicated to educating and empowering sex workers’ leaders, providing them with knowledge, leadership skills, and platforms/opportunities to forge partnerships in unifying and advocating for change within the sex workers’ rights movement in Nigeria.
- Advocate for the comprehensive protection of sex workers’ human rights through policy review and development, awareness campaigns, legal support, capacity building, survivor assistance, collaboration and research to ensure their fundamental human rights are upheld at all levels in Nigeria.
- Enhance involvement and cultivate partnership with aligned networks, activists, and organizations, promoting collaboration and the consolidation of resources to bolster unified and impactful advocacy effort in Nigeria.
